Good to Know
Start early in alpine areas
Popular valleys like Logar and the Soča region are quietest in the morning. Early starts mean easier parking, calmer camps, and the best light for hiking and photos.
Carry cash for small mountain stops
Many alpine huts, farm stalls, and smaller campsites don’t accept cards. A bit of cash makes spontaneous stops for cheese, honey, or breakfast on a meadow much easier.
